Katie and Josh’s Holdsworth House wedding day was just perfect.

As the August sun shone down on the beautifully landscaped grounds of this incredible wedding venue. I took a step back and knew it was going to be the perfect wedding day.

Holdsworth House History

The history of Holdsworth House is as mesmerising as its architecture. This stunning Jacobean manor house dates back to 1633 and retains many period features. With historical ties to local luminaries including Anne Lister and the Bronte family, Holdsworth House is the perfect place to relax and treat yourself to something special, somewhere unique.

Arriving in Style

Katie’s Father is a proud owner of a red MG sports car. It was only fitting that he drove his daughter to her wedding.

When they pulled around the stoned wall entrance and I saw Katie smile form ear to ear I could feel her excitment.

Holdsworth House has a huge gravelled landscaped area which is perfect for your wedding cars to pull up onto.

Katie’s bridesmaids, page boy and flower girls were all there to greet her as she arrived.

Holdsworth House Wedding Ceremony

Katie and Josh got married in the Stuart Room at Holdsworth House. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room when Katie walked down the aisle with her Father.

The Stuart Room is the largest suite in the hotel and can host up to 120 guests for a wedding reception and 150 at an evening party. This function room has a large private bar, stage area, cloakroom, lounge facilities, dance floor and adjoining Colonnade Courtyard. The Stuart Room is adjacent to the kitchens, meaning your reception meal is served fresh and hot.

You are your wedding guest are free to enjoy every inch. Katie and Josh had their harpist playing outside whilst everyone enjoyed drinks and canapes outside.

Katie and Josh had plenty of lawn games for everyone to enjoy. The kids loved of every minute of it. After a few drinks the bigger kids starting to get involved too.
