Abbeywood Estate Weddings

Wow oh wow, Jen & Paul’s wedding day at Abbey Wood Estate was perfect in every way. Jen and Paul are not the posey type of couple and wanted to spend more time with their guests than with me posing for photographs. This is why they fell in love with my natural wedding photography style.

Press play and enjoy Jen and Paul’s wedding day at Abbeywood Estate.

Jen and Paul’s Abbeywood Estate wedding day was in December. They wanted a more winter wedding vibe day as it makes everything feel a bit more intimate. Abbeywood Estate was perfect for creating that intimate feeling they wanted. One great thing about a winter wedding here is that it feels intimate. The cool weather makes everyone want to huddle up together. Imagine gathering around a fire pit, sharing stories, and making memories with your favourite people.

The build-up.

Both Jen and Paul stayed the night before and got ready at Abbeywood on the morning of their wedding day. Jen and the girls opted for breakfast with champagne and Paul and the lads took the dog to explore the grounds. I think Paul really wanted champagne to be honest haha!

The event team was busy dressing the ceremony room and the reception space while the staff got the huge open fire lit, making everything feel so cosy and warm.

The Ceremony.

Time seems to fly at Abbeywood Estate because there’s so much to do and see. Before we knew it it was time for these guys to say “I Do”.

Their ceremony was held in the garden room, it was so beautiful. Picture this, it was crisp and cold outside, the open fire was lit and in every direction you were surrounded by lush green views. It was like rustic vibes meeting romance, simply beautiful.

After the ceremony, we spilt onto the grounds and the guests all enjoyed hot chocolate, the atmosphere was perfect. Although Jen and Paul didn’t want any posed pictures they wanted a few casual ones that they could hang on the wall. We nipped off for a short ten-minute stroll around the grounds to capture some laid-back and relaxed photographs of them together then went straight back to where the action was.

Wedding breakfast & evening celebration at Abbeywood Estate.

Jen and Paul's wedding breakfast was held in the Glass House. Now you’d think that it would be cold in there during the winter but it was lovely and warm and toasty. The setting was beautiful. The Glass is huge so you don’t feel like you’ve been packed in. With high ceilings, fairy lights and candle lights it creates the most romantic vibes to enjoy your meal together with your family and friends.

After their wedding breakfast, the guests headed back into the garden room while the glass house was prepared for the evening celebration. Again the open fire and background music created the perfect chilled vibe. It was awesome to capture the atmosphere and how all the guests were enjoying themselves.

After a short time, the wedding team at Abbeywood estate invited us all back into the glass house for everyone to enjoy the music and party.

First things first, Abbeywood Estate is like the cool kid on the block of wedding venues. It's got this laid-back vibe that says, "Relax, we got this." No need for over-the-top stress; just bring your love, and the rest will fall into place.

Planning a wedding can be a whole production, but not at Abbeywood Estate. It's like the anti-drama zone. No diva moments, no stress – just love, laughter, and maybe a happy tear or two. Your wedding day should be about the two of you, and Abbeywood gets that vibe perfectly.

The Perfect Setting to say “I do”.
